Cultural Outreach
The audio revolution and the latest technological innovations promise a shift towards the mainstreaming of digital creation and the "power of sound" in our daily lives. For the spectator of today and tomorrow, the notion of artistic experience is essential when it comes to approaching a work of art, and the participative or immersive dimension has gradually become central to this. To be able to take part in the creative process, to understand its mechanisms, to approach and question the artistic intention, to meet and interact, the public now wants to be actively involved in understanding the works presented to them in a different way.
With this in mind, the 21st-century IRCAM intends to pass on its practices and the challenges they present in fun, hands-on digital workshops. Participants, from an early age, will be able to become active players and designers of creative sound objects.
