Discover the diversity of careers at IRCAM, at the crossroads of art and science!
    Edit

The Cultural Outreache Department organizes visits for school groups and/or children's organizations. (IRCAM is not open for private visits).

The visit is led by an IRCAM interpreter, and covers the history of the Institute, its architecture, and its various fields of activity. Students are invited to explore the anechoic chamber in small groups. The visit then continues with a listening session on works and creations produced at IRCAM. This listening session takes place under an ambisonic dome, offering a whole new listening experience!

It is also possible to organize a professional meeting with an IRCAM professional whose specialty is chosen with the teacher: artistic creation, scientific research, sound engineering... Students discover the professional background of the speaker and his/her job, and learn about concepts such as contemporary composition, computer music tools, acoustic spaces, sound engineering...
