William Kuo

William Kuo (Canada, 1990) is a Canadian composer established in Vancouver. He constantly renews his listening and questions his influences by observing cultural frontiers and human relationships in light of the collective experience of art.

Recently, he worked with the saxophone quartet Quasar for the creation of his work  Intended Assembly in Montréal and with the soprano Juliet Fraser and the  Multilatérale ensemble for the premiere of Regulation at the Fondation Royaumont’s Voix Nouvelles academy. In September 2018, a new work for the Nikel ensemble will premiere during the Gaudeamus Muziekweek (Netherlands).

Upon completion of his Bachelor’s degree in composition from McGill University in 2013,  William went on to study at the Music Conservatory of Montreal from where he received his diploma (Master’s level) in composition.
