Sivan Eldar

Sivan Eldar (Israel, 1985), composer living in San Francisco, uses instrumental and electronic sounds in her music for live concerts, dance performances, theater, and art installations. She is particularly interested in the sensorial experience of sound and its relationship with live performances. Her music explores the notion of time, of memory, of space at the threshold of human perception. Sivan holds a Bachelor's degree in composition from the New England Conservatory and a PhD in composition from the University of Berkeley where she works at CNMAT (Centre for New Music and Audio Technologies) and at BCNM (Berkeley Center for New Media).
