Konstantin Heuer

Konstantin (Germany, 1989) played bass guitar in noise rock bands when he was a teenager. He studied composition in Rostock, The Hague, and Stuttgart and afterwards lived in the Shangyuan Art District in Beijing. His artistic sensibilities were influenced by Marco Stroppa and Marc Sabat. In 2012, he won the Gaudeamus Prize and founded the neophon ensemble in Berlin.

Konstantin elaborates the idea of a microtonal harmonic counterpoint and a mixed acoustic-electronic orchestration. He strives to write life-affirming music that relates to the philosophy of F.W.J. Schelling and Henning Tegtmeyer.
