The Supersonic Chair, a partnership between the Beaux-Arts de Paris and IRCAM, provides ten young artists from the Beaux-Arts de Paris with the opportunity to familiarize themselves for a year with sound technologies, in connection with the visual arts, video, installation, and performance. The students have developed projects at the crossroads of the visual arts and sound, in small groups, in collaboration with a composer from IRCAM's Cursus program.
Supersonique is a space of liberty, experimentation, and innovation, offering these young visual artists and musicians the possibility of creating artistic projects together, where sound, combined with the body, performance, image and matter, creates a new visual and sound space in the Chapelle des Petits Augustins at the Beaux-Arts de Paris.
