Humor, memory and joy, in music and on screen. On stage Carlos Kleiber and Sergiu Celibidache, Miles Davis and Bruckner, Stockhausen and Beethoven, and one of Thomas Hauert's most beautiful choreographies with his company Zoo, filmed by Thierry De Mey. The opening evening of the ManiFeste festival is a large-scale montage, a whirlwind that flows from image to music. The young Danish composer Simon Steen-Andersen has created an ultra-virtuoso collage in which the orchestra, jazz band, and vocal ensemble present in the concert hall perform with a series of living archives - a profound and delightful journey into our own musical memory. La Playlist de l'été includes everything from Ravel's Valse, danced on the rooftops of Brussels by Thomas Hauert's company. Twirling and spinning, a summer playlist where the eye listens.
