Vincent Portes

Vincent Portes (France, b. 1995) is a composer. His music is strongly influenced by electronic writing, signal processing, micro-editing, and various methods of sound synthesis. The structure of his pieces is based on the exploration of a sound object, whose new characteristics will be discovered progressively thanks to a « zoom » writing.

Before joining the Master’s degree program at the CNSMD in Lyon where Portes studied with Martin Matalon, he studied at the CRR in Toulouse. He also worked with different composers during masterclasses and academies.

He received several prizes and worked with different ensembles, including Meitar Ensemble, Multilatérale, Ensemble Orchestral Contemporain, Divertimento ensemble, Nouvel Ensemble Moderne.
