Azzan Maurizio

Maurizio Azzan (Italy, 1987) studied composition with Alessandro Solbiati at the Milan Conservatory, with Salvatore Sciarrino and, at the Conservatoire de Paris, with Frédéric Durieux. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in ancient literature and a Master’s degree in philology and ancient literature from the University of Turin.

His music has been performed by  soloists (Antonio Politano, Anna D'Errico, Marie Ythier…) and ensembles such as the Ensemble intercontemporain, Divertimento Ensemble, Nieuw Ensemble, mdi ensemble, Proton Bern… as well as during festivals and concert season including Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, MITO SettembreMusica, Milano Musica, Impuls Festival Graz, Time of Music Festival, Fondation Royaumont…
His works are published by Suvini-Zerboni in Milan.
