Unrisen

Thu 22 December 2016,
8:30 p.m.
Teatro Donizetti

Difficult to fully understand the term “unrisen”. It evokes divine, spiritual even liturgical elevation. In Unrisen, the Son of God is not resurrected, all divine presence is banished, if it ever existed. Here, there is no dizziness of possibility, there is only the human, that which we can touch, wood, that which is tactile. The electronics themselves are at a human scale, in the service of man. We can not test its limits, either in speed or slowness, macroscopic or microscopic. The new instrument-making technique, SmartInstruments, demands a new type of interaction, closer to the musician, more sensual and affective. The object matters little; it is the touch that matters.
