Trois Manifestes (2009) will remain the masterpiece of Colombian composer Luis-Fernando Rizo-Salom, who passed away in an accident in 2013. It features the explosion of three "sonic manifestos", three spatialized instrumental groups—nuanced and cemented by electronics distributed throughout the hall. This triple explosion is echoed by two other manifestos. Mayu Hirano, a Japanese composer who studied in Tokyo and Paris, imagines "Parfum d'un Autre Monde". Inspired by Noh theater, her creation uses electronics that analyze, segment, blur, merge, superimpose, immerse, dissect, and transplant the viola. Italy's Aureliano Cattaneo takes on a character from Dostoyevsky, a schizophrenic civil servant grappling with his double. Here, the double bass splits into two in the hall: through the transducers, the instrument is literally "possessed" by the ensemble.
