Following an introduction on the different methods used for synthesis through physical modeling, participants will take their first steps with Modalys and the software's range of graphical interfaces.
Mastery of the Macintosh environment (OS X), a sequencer software program such as Pro Tools, LogicAudio, and a sound editor like Audacy.
Upon completion of this course participants will be able to construct a simple virtual instrument and interact with it in the ModaLisp environment and in real-time with Max.
- Thursday: Introduction to synthesis through physical modeling; Construction of a string instrument; Construction of a reed instrument
- Friday: Construction of a plucked string model; Using Modalys in real-time with Max (object Mlys)
- Saturday: Construction of 3D objects; Construction and control of an instrument in OpenMusic
