The New Shape of Audio Branding
Workflows dealing with the translation of brand identities in the musical domain are highly arbitrary, shaped by the subjective taste of executives and ignoring the individual experience of musical content.
This workshop will tackle the current challenges of translating the values of a brand into the musical domain using recent advances in musical information retrieval and algorithmic recommendation.
Organization: Diemo Schwarz (Interaction Sound Music Movement Team IRCAM-STMS)

Sixteen years after its first visit, organized by IRCAM in 2002, ISMIR returns to Paris for its 19th edition, organized by Télécom ParisTech and IRCAM. ISMIR is the world’s leading research forum on processing, organizing, and accessing music-related data. The conference provides a meeting place for interdisciplinary discussions, bridging the gap among researchers, developers, teachers, librarians, students, and professional software-users. ISMIR gathers nearly 300 participants—hailing from universities and industry alike—and is held in a variety of venues around the capital: Cité internationale universitaire de Paris, Station-F, Deezer, Conservatoire national des arts et métiers, Sacem, Télécom ParisTech.
