Le monde d’Éliane Radigue: OCCAM OCEAN / ManiFeste-2020
For more than a decade, Éliane Radigue has devoted herself to OCCAM OCEAN, a cycle of instrumental works in constant evolution, built in close collaboration with a group of performers she calls the Chevaliers d'Occam. Using very fine-grained drones, she creates an atmosphere of semi-consciousness, which suspends all acoustic references, confining to a state of "waking dream". A trio of musicians plays in front of Niki de Saint Phalle's La mariée and alongside works by artists from the Nouveau réalisme movement with whom Éliane Radigue was associated in the 1960s.
