John Cage et nous
John Cage is not only one of the greatest figures of 20th century music, but also one of the rare people to have had a durable impact on several artistic disciplines. Where are we today in our understanding of Cage’s multifaceted activites? What does Cage mean for today’s musicians? The publication of Anne de Fornel’s book on Cage in 2019 by Fayard provides the opportunity to examine these questions from several points of view: art history, musicology, musical interpretation.
