From Within...
The composer Marko Nikodijevic and the audiovisual artist Robert Henke imagined a concert for four hands, mobilizing simultaneously musical writing, writing for space and light. From Within... is inspired by a long process of collective research with a few "simple" guiding principles: write for the entire Ensemble intercontemporain, use the entire length of the evening, use LEDs to create a light-emitting sculpture, deploy sonic holophinics using the WFS system (Wave Field Synthesis) to transform the concert hall, exchange the orchestrated electronic samples, transmute a physical concept—that of erosion—into an immersive, virtually "metaphysical" gesture. Using two distinct skills, the mastery of writing for an ensemble and the manufacturing of electronics, From Within... is a dream of symbiosis.
