This concert is a story of admiration and shared friendships. In 2000, Pierre Boulez, aged 75, was directing Clinamen Nodus, a piece by Olga Neuwirth that integrated in the orchestra her favorite instruments: Hawaian guitar, Varesian sirens and leading percussions. For her piece Tombeau I, which she dedicated to Pierre Boulez, Olga Neuwirth imagines a slow acoustic twilight, where the electronics finds its place – a "prelude to Lohengrin" of the 21st century. This programme features Olga Neuwirth's most recent works, as well as Michaël Levinas's explosive gesture, written for a solo organ.
