For the fifth edition of the Grand Soir Numérique, held as part of the Némo Biennial, the questions raised by the inclusion of technology in the creative process are becoming ever more pressing and complex. In Intégrales (1925), Varèse imagined the ever-changing projection of a geometric figure on a plane, an experiment in ever-changing speeds. Sound projections, space travel - these visual analogies apply in their entirety to sound. In the age of multimedia, this type of experience is most often resolved in video, as in the case of Tatsuru Arai, a Japanese artist based in Berlin. Tryphème and Ulysse Lefort simultaneously manipulate sound and video. As for Yang Song, an IRCAM graduate, she rearranges musical gestures through technology and editing.
