In collaboration with McGill University,le Vivier and the SAT, the IRCAM Forum offers an online event for the 2012 edition featuring live sessions, recorded presentations, and performances by artists from February 4 to 6 and February 11 and 12, 2021.
The live sessions will consist of panel discussions, 90-minute workshops, and demonstrations led by IRCAM researchers and artists on new techniques and software for sound processing and creation. This new format also includes recorded presentations by IRCAM developers and composers, researchers from the Société des Arts Technologiques (SAT), McGill University and Université de Montréal (UdeM), as well as independent artists and students. These presentations will be made available online to registered participants prior to the February online sessions.
This edition also leaves room for experimentation: under the theme of sound and immersion and in partnership with IRCAM and McGill University, the SAT launches its new immersive web platform SATELLITE on February 6th. SATELLITE is a transdisciplinary, immersive virtual hub with the will to connect and radiate innovative experiences from the cultural milieu.
