The ULYSSES ensemble brings together young performers supported by seasoned soloists. In 2022, the ensemble is dedicated to percussionists who benefit from the supervision of the Percussions de Strasbourg, which is also celebrating its sixtieth anniversary. This adventure unfolds in several stages in Strasbourg and Paris, in Viitasaari in Finland, in Utrecht in Holland and in Warsaw in Poland. Learning through practice and by travelling, through the creations of composers revealed by the ULYSSES network, and through the repertoire. In Paris, two Japanese female composers share the stage with the Pléïades by Xenakis: two movements taken from this collection, in which the sixxen, this unusual metallic instrument imagined by the composer, appear.
