Tomás Saraceno
Tomás Saraceno was born in Tucumán (1973), Argentina. After a Master’s degree in architecture at the Buenos Aires School of Fine Arts, Tomás Saraceno continued his studies in Europe. He studied fine arts at the Städelschule in Frankfort and then a Master’s degree at IUAV in Venice. Since 2013, the artist lives and works in Berlin. In 2009, his work was shown during the 53rd Venice Biennale.
He has held residencies at Centre National d’Études Spatiales (2014–2015), MIT Center for Art, Science & Technology (2012–ongoing) and Atelier Calder (2010), among others. His works can be found in the collections of the MoMA (New York), the SFMOMA (San Francisco), the Walker Art Center (Minneapolis), the National Galerie, and the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin (Berlin).
