The springtime festival in Paris and a flagship event for international contemporary creation, ManiFeste returns for a new edition at IRCAM and major venues across the city.
Among the highlights of the 30 events on this year’s program: Anthony McCall’s Lumière installation in the Espace de projection; the Electro-Odysseys of Kali Malone and Deena Abdelwahed; the opera Decameron by Matteo Franceschini at the Théâtre de l’Athénée; What the Body Does Not Remember by choreographer Wim Vandekeybus at the Philharmonie de Paris; and fado singer Cristina Branco at CENTQUATRE-PARIS.
The concerts will feature iconic 20th-century works by Ligeti, Feldman, and Kurtág—whose centenary we celebrate this year—as well as emerging voices, notably with new works by composers Claudia Jane Scroccaro, Sarah Nemtsov, Justė Janulytė, Zeynep Toraman, and Anne Castex.
Concerts, performances, installations: a festival of creation!
