This evening, conceived by cellist Francesco Dillon, begins with Jonathan Harvey’s Advaya. In the form of Buddhism that influenced the English composer, Advaya means “not two”; here, the cello mirrors the sounds of the sampler and the texture of electronic sounds. Riccardo Nova, who studied Indian music, explores microtonality, while the circular unity and ecstasy are also characteristic of Justé Janulyté’s monochrome style.
