In the church of Saint-Eustache, organ, ensemble, and electronics bring to life networks, dissolutions, and secret movements. Ligeti's Volumina unfolds the possibilities and imperfections of the organ. In Gérard Grisey's Partiels, sound is born, lives, and dies, like any living cell. Between minimalism, spectra, and drones, Justė Janulytė's Clessidra ("hourglass," in Italian) brings together the image of emptiness and fullness. Ash Fure's A Library on Lightning draws on the scars left on skin struck by lightning. Finally, in Ballata, Francesco Filidei layers the twelve notes of the chromatic scale to build, from a single archetype, a bold structure.
