Steve Reich, twentieth-century icon and pioneer of minimal music, has hypnotized generations of listeners, musicians, and choreographers and is being honored by Radio France's Festival Présences 2023. As a special preview, IRCAM is bringing together three prototypical works: Pendulum Music, Clapping Music, and Electric Counterpoint to be played by former Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood. For this exceptional evening in the Espace de projection, l'Instant Donné presents a recent work by New Yorker Aaron Einbond's experimental adventure in percussion, structured around the radiance of the instruments. A packed, intense evening, to be enjoyed on repeat.
