"Composition is a fight against silence, against non-sound. Silence is all that I hear in myself and which cannot however become music. It would be ideal if, by a perfect 'capillarity' between all the strata of my consciousness and my unconscious, the act of my taking was free of the contingency of my chronological existence." Emmanuel Nunes, who passed away in 2012, leaves behind a work that is striking in its tragic and torn tone; expressive and narrative. Spaces with holes and unexpected openings, convulsions and sudden distances. Nachtmusik lives in the low registers of an exceptional quintet: from a sonic spareness emerges the dramatic and hieratic intensity of this night music, reinforced by the electronic's modulation in ring. The writing of space is also essential in the world of Marco Stroppa. His electroacoustic creation was designed for the Espace de projection.
