An astonishing subject for study: under the supervision of IRCAM and, in particular, Pierre Thévenin, several researchers hijacked an arcade video game terminal to “onto-cartograph” a classic of sonic poem, Bernard Heidsieck's Vaduz. Following a “wild-tech” approach, which consists in recycling obsolete equipment by discovering new functions for it-blending philosophy, anthropology and design-this project, supported by Labex Les Passés dans le présent, resulted in a performance.
Four players from the contemporary poetry scene come together in public to test this strange prototype, equipped with an acousmograph and GPS coordinates.
The players
Mickaël Berdugo poet-performer
Marc Matter sonic artist and researcher
Théo Robine-Langlois artist and poet
Gaëlle Théval researcher in contemporary literature
The researchers
Emmanuel Ducourneau designer Wild Tech School Lab
Anthony Stavrianakis CNRS researcher and anthropologist
Pierre Thévenin CNRS researcher and associate member of IRCAM joint research lab STMS in the Analysis of Musical Practices Organisation
