Réplicas - La Muette
This evening’s double program is dedicated to a fighting voice: theatrical or musical. The epic voice of the Iliade and the turmoil of bodys on the battlefield in the In Vivo Théâtre workshop conceived by Daniel Jeanneteau. The altered, translated, and metamorpohosed voice, imagined by the young Chilian composer Fernando Munizaga in his research at IRCAM: a "replica" that is both sismic and linguistic. The voice of La Muette that resits its own mutation, that resists the regime of the mullahs in Iran in a fleeting encounter between the text by Chahdortt Djavann and the composition Florence Baschet. The dramaturgic tension, the flow of the singing in Farsi is found throughout the electroacoustic score. "It is important for me that a composer, like an author, can invest their work in problems they encounter as a direct witness." (Florence Baschet.)
