IRCAM's multidisciplinary festival and academy, ManiFeste, the rendezvous for creation in Paris, places music in disciplines beyond the concert: theatre, dance, digital arts, visual arts. Between 120 and 140 young composers and performers from the world over take part in the academy every year, benefitting from a major artistic and technological setting as well as the presence of a large public audience for final performances. In addition, students and auditors can take part in a range of associated events:
Composition workshop and interpretation master class rehearsals
Classes by composers, artists, musicians, and guests
Conferences on IRCAM research and development
Special access to IRCAM’s multimedia library’s reserves
Entry to all final workshop and master class workshops
Special ticket prices for the ManiFeste-2019 festival
Discount price on Premium Individual subscriptions to the IRCAM Forum
The 8th edition of the academy is based on partnerships with actors in the fields of culture and higher education.
It is the responsibility of each applicant to read the contents of the workshop of master class to which they apply (fees, start and end dates of each workshop or master class, instrumentation, instructions, deadlines concerning scores and/or materials).
Applicants selected to participate who do not respect the information provided or who will be absent—even partially—during their workshop or master class will be excluded from the academy by the teaching team. In this case, registration will not be reimbursed.
A reading panel made up of the teaching teams will examine all applications. The reading panel’s decisions are final.
Conditions and tuition fees may vary from one workshop to another.
