Can you fall in love with an avatar? Do you have the right to insult Alexa? What happens when Replika feels lonely? Does AI help us cope with grief? Who decides my future, me or Parcoursup? These questions, sharpened by the use of artificial intelligence, are the starting point for Jeux de l'amour et de l'énigme (Games of Love and Enigma). In a classroom turned theater, the audience becomes a chorus that watches, comments, reacts, feels, and is moved. It is also a chance to engage with three characters, one of whom is a machine that answers questions "naturally." In this way, the piece unfolds as a modern-day dispute, a meeting between the "science of the heart" imagined by Marivaux in 1723 and the "conscious" machine imagined by Alan Turing in 1950.
