Hassan Khan - AUTOMATIC IS THE VOICE THAT SPEAKS

A part of Mutations/Créations 5
February 23 through Mon 26 April 2021,
Centre Pompidou
Galerie 3

Entry with a “museum and exhibitions” ticket from the Centre Pompidou.

Video, sculpture, photography, in situ works, music, fiction literature, graphic design: these are the multiple faces of Hassan Khan's work. Since the 1990s, this artist, musician, and writer living in Cairo has been observing the tensions, energies, and power relations at work in the contemporary world. Often attractive, his pieces play on the familiar and its twists and turns to touch in depth, in a vital way, the meaning of popular. His works point, within the invisible infrastructures that underpin society, to the shared experience of emotions that participate in the shaping of politics. The project, specifically designed for the open stage of Gallery 3, will bring together a wide selection of his work in a setting designed by the artist himself.
