Professional Training

IRCAM offers a range of training modules, tailored to different levels from beginner to advanced, that let participants discover and understand software for musical creation. Season 2012-2013Professional Training

In parallel to its basic mission of research and creation, IRCAM is committed to sharing the know-how, technologies, and works created at the institute with the general public. International ambitions and special relationships, exploration of new forms and mutualization of knowledge all come together to motivate the transmission of knowledge at IRCAM.

  • Unique cultural outreach programs that let the public be a part of the institute's experimental activities
  • Strong relationships with the educational arena via innovative projects and technologies
  • Conferences, symposiums, and publications to share the institute's wealth of knowledge and culture
  • Forum and training for professionals
  • Masters degree programs for young composers, designers, and scientists

With the arrival of IRCAM's first collection of professional-level plugins - IRCAM Tools - and its collection of patches for Max for Live--IRCAMAX--the training programs held at IRCAM have been reorganized to offer courses that let participants progress at their rhythm. Introductory, specialized, and professional-level courses are now available. New themes have also been added and programs such as 'your creative project' for Max, OM experts, and IRCAM Overview have been revamped.

IRCAM's available online resources continue to expand, providing the institute with another means of sharing its activities with the public: the Brahms database, films and conferences accessible online, The Studios of Creation an artistic education platform, and the Musique Lab resource database for instructors.
