IRCAM offers a wide array of industrial licenses for the technology created through the research carried out at the institute. This makes it possible to include plug-ins of IRCAM technology in today's software programs.
Each technological element (e.g. algorithms for analysis, processing, and synthesis - especially digital audio) is packaged as software module with portable code optimized for the targeted platform(s).
IRCAM is recognized by the French Ministry of Research and Education; the work carried out by IRCAM's teams for its industrial partners is eligible for the French Research Tax Credit (Crédit d’impôt recherche, CIR).
