Modular interfaces for digital musicThe system of MO objects was developed in Interlude, a research project that focused on these questions. The system is an instrumental network made up of modules that are connected (via a wireless connection) to a central element, using real-time technology that lets users explore new means of musical expression for individuals or groups. The modules can be connected with objects found in our daily lives or with traditional musical instruments.

Software for musical interaction has been developed for these objects so that users can physically perform electronic and electro-acoustic music or interpret existing recordings. An "augmented score" system associates divers systems of musical notation and movement representation. The objects can be adapted and programmed by the performers.
