Posted: December 4, 2012
The CIM (Colloque d'Informatique Musicale) Scientific Committee organized by the AIMI (Associazione Informatica Musicale Italiana) assigned the Piccialli Award to the paper by Andrea Agostini and Daniele Ghisi: "Bach: A Library for Computer-Aided Composition (CAC) in Max".
The final version of the Proceedings will be available soon on the AIMI website.
Andrea Agostini and Daniele Ghisi both followed IRCAM’s Cursus 1 program in computer music during the 2008-09 academic year.
Daniele Ghisi is currently in residence at IRCAM where he is carrying out a project in musical research on computer-assisted orchestration in connection with the study of micro-temporal sound properties and their macro-temporal arrangement in musical speech.
In 2011, Andrea Agostini carried out a project in musical research at IRCAM on the creation of a system of additive synthesis in real-time that included both elements of sound production and a reflection on the mechanisms of high-level parameters.
