Electronics: A Partner to Instrumental Playing
Public: Conservatory professors (instruments, song, chamber music, computer-assisted music)
Objectives
- Become autonomous in the implementation of mixed music works with simple materials and ready-to-use software programs
- Develop the musicality of playing with electronics
- Include electronics in classes on instruments or song while developing educational possibilities for playing with electronics.
Program
- Choose, implement, and hook up the necessary material
- Master the software that is appropriate and ready to use on a personal computer
- Explore situations of interactions between instrument/voice and live transformations
- Recognize, by hearing, certain types of transformations used in the mixed music repertoire and use them in an educational setting
- Work and present a piece from the mixed music repertoire alone, with the goal of teaching it to students.
