The role of the Research/Creation Interfaces department is to create connections between scientific research and artistic creation at IRCAM.

The department supports individual artistic emergence through musical research projects and residencies for artists, and collective emergence through thematic work groups within the institution.

During the regularly scheduled public Research and Creation Seminars, a composer and his/her computer music designer expain and discuss a recently completed creative project during the concert season.

Public dissemination of technological and artistic knowledge intended for professional musicians and researchers, as well as those active in the world of music education, is achieved through the IRCAM Forum. Members can take advantage of a wide range of services and activities.
