Ircam Live @ la Gaîté lyrique

IRCAM and the Gaîté lyrique present an evening for performances mixing contemporary creation, electronic music and new technologies with artists from the IRCAM Forum and Plaid, legendary electro group and figurehead of the Warp record label.

Sound innovation will be the guest of honor at this unique event!

During the first part of this evening, five artists from the IRCAM software users' group and winners of the competition created with the Gaîté lyrique will perform their latest works for us: Lorenzo Bianchi, Hans Leeuw, Diemo Schwarz, Benjamin Carey, and Jean Lochard.

The second part of this concert features Elementary Excitation, a proposition by Plaid and the researcher Bruno Zamborlin (Mogees: IRCAM technology: see the video below). The English duo – former Forum members themselves – invite one of the most recent technologies developed by IRCAM on stage: Mogees. Mogees is an amazing system that lets users transform everyday objects into musical instruments.
