An opera bouffe based on Giordani Bruno, Carl von Linné

2012 premiere in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Percussions de Strasbourg.

Located between heaven and hell, limbo was taken off the Catholic map in 2007. Initiated by the Percussions de Strasbourg for their 50th anniversary, the opera by Stefano Gervasoni directed by Ingrid von Wantoch-Rekowski begins just before this event. In this scene, the botanist Carl von Linné and the monk Giordano Bruno welcome a billionaire who has decided to organize a party when the news of the abolition of limbo is delivered to the gates of hell... If limbo - that land where the pure and impure, the sacred and the profane, communicate - disappears what will replace it?
