Nuit blanche
Mutations of matter and Vox Humana, two works emerged from the meeting of two artists and two centers of artistic research, le Fresnoy and IRCAM.
Mutations of matter combines electro-acoustic music and video, architecture and voice. This crossing of New York that took place during the period when Rivas and Fanklin were studying at IRCAM and the Fresnoy, contrasts the words of New Yorkers with the visions of the architect Rem Koolhaas as seen in Delirious New York. "The voice erects the city and becomes architecture. Sounds and images will be this city, or rather its utopia." Critically acclaimed since its premiere, Mutations of Matter is returning to Paris and its starting point for the Nuit Blanche.
Another work emerges from the meeting of two artists and two centers of artistic research, le Fresnoy and IRCAM, Vox Humana by Raphaël Thibault and Hyun-Hwa Cho "tunes" the 3D image to a giant synthesizer; the Saint Eustache organs disturbed by electronics.
