Professor
A performer noticed by the choreographers Mathilde Monnier, Boris Charmatz, Herman Diephuis, and Loïc Touzé, Maud Le Pladec explores the dance-music relationship in Professor in literally displaying the musical composition.
This performance begins with the shock of the music by Fausto Romitelli, whose oeuvre is situated at the crossroads of spectral music, alternative rock, and electronics. "Two dancers and a musician dialogue with the fiction of sound, manipulating it, switching their roles to the point of confusion. Their movements, as precise as that of a scalpel, follow each tempo, sliding on out of tune strings, vibrating with their deformations." Gilles Amalvi
