Mixed-Music: Classroom Implementation
Public: Conservatory and association directors and professors
Today, the tools for real-time transformations are easily available to the general public: music schools have begun to use them. A common pedagogical method consists of teaching how to use the software, masking its real artistic and educational potential. Another method consists of putting in place a mixed music class or a chamber music class with a computer, which implies that the exercises or the repertoire for young musicians must be developed or adapted. In this kind of mixed music class the choice of the technological tool becomes secondary and it is the question of controlling the electronics that becomes the central element.
The objective of this meeting will be to demonstrate how the technical implementation of this type of repertoire is now possible in music schools. Concrete examples of workshops and collaborations with students will be presented.
