Max for Live - NEW
Expand the creative possibilities of Live®
Prerequisite: Knowledge of programming in MAX/MSP (Max tutorials up to 30 and all the MSP tutorials or successful completion of the Max/MSP courses levels 1 & 2 minimum, level 3 strongly suggested), as well as basic knowledge of Live 8®.
The objective of this course is to learn the basic functions of Max for Live (M4L):
- introduction to new graphical objects,
- creation and modification of audio processing modules, synthesizers, and MIDI effects,
- automation of parameters, MIDI control,
- running the Live® interface from an M4L module.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to create modules necessary to take advantage of the possibilities offered by Live®.

Didactic Material and Assessments
Hands-on work sessions take place on individual workstations (iMac, MIDI keyboard, headphones). Instructors use a workstation connected to a video projector and a quadraphonic sound system. Either paper or electronic teaching aids will be available for students.
