Max/MSP: Audio Processing
Intermediate Level
Prerequisite
Advanced knowledge of Max/MSP programming. Sucsessful completion of the First Steps with Max/MSP program or knowledge of the Max tutorials (Basic tutorials 1 – 22, Data tutorials 1 – 5, MIDI tutorials 1 – 5, and MSP tutorials 1 – 31).
Upon completion of the three Max/MSP programs participants will be able to program their own complex audio-processing patches, analyze and synthesize sound signals, chose the tools best adapted for their needs and include them in a program for real-time applications.
Description
This first course on spatialization is designed to let maxers go further than the simple use of objects and give them a deeper understanding of the most common sound processing tools found in Max (e.g. delay lines, transposition, frequency-shifter, granulation) letting them look at more advanced issues surrounding sound signals. Modules will be constructed to be included in a processing sequencer.
