Available in Pm2, SuperVP, AudioSculpt, and Diphone Studio, this is one of the best analysis and sound transformation techniques.

A sound is represented by a juxtaposition of variable sinusoids and a variable spectrum, in time. A synthesis algorithm called FFT-1 has been patented, which considerably reduces the calculation costs.

Research into the automatic extraction of the frequency and amplitude variation of the sinusoids is underway.

Finally, control strategies for this type of synthesis are being up dated, particularly via the description of amplitude in terms of spectral envelopes.
